CubicConnector 2.0.9
CubicConnector links cubic format QuickTime VR panoramas into virtual tours that can be exported as multinode movies or HTML-based single node movies.
The QuickTime VR tours contain labeled hotspots which may be linked to other nodes, to URLs, or to targets defined in a multimedia environment such as LiveStage Pro, iShell, or Director.
Quick Connecting
During the connection stage, CubicConnector offers side-by-side viewing of source node and destination node simultaneously. This allows exact correlations to be easily made between a hotspot and its destination.

Using the side-by-side mode, you can see where your hotspot is located in the source movie and where clicking it will take the movie viewer. Hotspot locations are automatically made visible, and several quick-access controls allow hotspots to be located with a minimum of clicking, reducing the time you need to spend referring to notes or a layout diagram.
Streamlined Workflow
CubicConnector offers a streamlined and efficient workflow that allows hotspots to be quickly and easily defined then rapidly connected to a destination. This workflow is divided into logical stages which follow the sequence of authoring a multinode movie:
1. Importing source nodes
2. Defining hotspots
3. Connecting hotspots to their destinations
4. Previewing the connected movie
5. Exporting a multinode or HTML-linked movie
Each of these stages takes place in a single window which minimizes visual clutter as you move from area to area.
Virtual Tour Features
In addition to linking cubic format QuickTime VR movies through hotspots, CubicConnector 2.0 offers other features to enhance the virtual tour experience for viewers of the movie.
Maps can be inserted to give a sense of orientation to the tour. The map can appear below or to the side of the movie, or as an "overlay" that is shown when a button is clicked.

Auto-rotation can be added to the movies to remind new VR users that an image on a web page is interactive.
Sound can be added to nodes simply by dropping a sound file onto the node movie. The sound can be designated to play when the node is entered, to continue playing to provide an ambient background, or to be directional, where the sound becomes louder when the user is facing a certain part of the panorama.

QuickTime VR Object Movies or still images can be connected to hotspots, allowing closeups of features of interest in the panorama.

Versatile Exporting
When your movie has been assembled and previewed, you can export it either as a self-contained multinode movie or as a folder of single-node movies for use on web pages.

Multinode movies are suitable for playing back as-is in QuickTime Player or including in a larger interactive project created with an authoring environment such as LiveStage Pro, iShell or Director. Multinode movies which CubicConnector exports conform to the published Apple QuickTime VR format and are universally compatible across all flavors of Mac OS and Windows QuickTime installations.
Single-node movies are suitable for using on the web, where each node is embedded in a web page and loads separately to reduce bandwidth.
To assist with the HTML embedding, CubicConnector offers a number of HTML templates which automatically define <embed> & <object> tags for both the Mac OS and Windows versions of the QuickTime plugin.
