Step 2

We needDefining hotspot to define a hotspot over one of the roses in the panorama. Double-click the node marker to go to the Hotspots area.

Step 3

The rose we want is on the first face. Drag a hotspot over it.

Step 4

As this is the only panoramic node in the project, now click the "Connections" tab to go to the Connections area.

Step 5Choosing hotspot

Select the hotspot (1) from the "Hotspot" popup menu.

Step 6

Now dragRose destination object the "rose object.mov" from the tutorial files folder and drop it in the destination area.

(You can also choose the "Object Movie..." item from the "Destination" popup, and navigate the file dialog that will appear asking you to locate the object movie.)

Step 7

The object movie will be loaded into the destination movie space.

Step 8

You can now optionallyWired Action popup select a QuickTime wired action that will be placed in a Sprite Track when the multinode movie is exported.

CubicConnector has one or two actions built in, but the most useful option is to copy across an existing sprite track that may have been added to the object movie using a wired QuickTime authoring tool.

(If you are using the "autorotate" version of the "rose object.mov" prepared for this tutorial, you will see it start to rotate as soon as you select the "Copy Existing Sprite Track" menu item.)

Step 9

YouExporting movie have now done everything needed to connect the object movie to the hotspot. Click the "Export Movie..." button and choose a location to save the multinode movie.

If you now open the movie in QuickTime Player, you can pan around the rose garden as normal. When you click the pink rose, the rose object will appear and you can then turn it around to examine it from different angles.

To return to the rose garden, click the QuickTime Player's "go back" button. (If you are instead viewing the movie in the CubicConnector movie preview area, the go back button is the leftmost button on the controller underneath the movie.)
