sml-cubicnav-icon.jpg  Shortcut Keys

This following is a reference list of the shortcuts used in CubicNavigator. It includes command-keys (hold down the command key while pressing the indicated key), single keystrokes (just press the key by itself), and other shortcuts, eg, zooming with the right mouse button on a multibutton mouse.

Command-keys

Command-T:   Toggles between the Web Page view and the VR view.

Command-S:   Displays the slideshow setup dialog.

Command-R:   Toggles the Recording drawer open and closed.

Command-F:   Toggles in and out of Fullscreen mode.

Command-B:   Toggles the Bookmarks drawer open and closed.

Single keystrokes

(Active only for panning, these have no effect when typing in a web address or bookmarks, etc. They can be used in fullscreen mode as well.)

h:   Toggles hotspot visibility on and off. Only available when there are hotspots to display.

k:   Toggles keywords visibility on and off. Only available when there are keywords to display.

l:   Toggles label visibility on and off. Only available when there are labels to display.

m:   Toggles map visibility on and off. Only available when there is a map present.

SHIFT:   Zooms into the panorama. (Zooming can also be done with the right-mouse button if you have one.)

CONTROL:   Zooms out of the panorama. (Zooming can also be done with the right-mouse button if you have one.)

Note: for SHIFT & CONTROL zooming to work, the mouse cursor must be over the panorama. The mouse button does not need to be clicked, however.

RIGHT-ARROW:   Moves the panorama to the right.

LEFT-ARROW:   Moves the panorama to the left.

UP-ARROW:   Moves the panorama up.

DOWN-ARROW:   Moves the panorama down.

ESC:   Exit fullscreen mode (or map mode).

Command-left arrow:   Moves back in the page history. Has the same effect as clicking the "Back" button on the toolbar.

Command-right arrow:   Moves forward in the page history. Has the same effect as clicking the "Forward" button on the toolbar.

Mouse strokes

Right-mouse button:   Right-drag right and left to zoom into and out of the panorama.

Scroll-wheel:   Roll scroll wheel up to zoom into the panorama, down to zoom out.

Option-click [Edit] button:   Option-click on the Edit Bookmark button at the bottom of the bookmarks drawer to open the Edit Bookmarks window.

Option-click [M] button:   Option-click on the Show Map button [M] to open the map panel (only available when there is a map present).

This completes the list of shortcuts. The next chapter describes controlling CubicNavigator through AppleScript.
